Recipe . Confetti Cake Batter Dip

I take no responsibility for this one.

I have a declared weakness for anything that involves vanilla cake + sprinkles. So when I spotted this recipe on Pinterest, I let out a little girl squeal. My expectations were very, very high – and so I tried it immediately. And I was not disappointed.

I’m not going to claim that it’s healthy. But it’s also probably not the WORST thing you’ve ever put in your mouth. I tweaked the recipe a little bit – but to each her own. I’m already thinking of ways to make this work for different events (using cherry chip cake mix + red/white/pink sprinkles for Valentine’s Day or plain white cake mix + your own coloured sprinkles to change up the colour to work for just about anything).

YOU ARE WELCOME.

Here’s the basic recipe I used. As mentioned above, I ended up using LESS cake mix and MORE yogurt. And I added some extra sprinkles for awesomeness. So here’s my general recipe…

Confetti Cake Batter Dip

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 cup Cool Whip (thawed)
  • Confetti Cake Mix to taste (start with 1/4 package)
  • Extra Sprinkles!

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients together until all lumps are gone. The mixture will be a little grainy from the cake batter, but that will go away.

2. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.

3. Stir, add a few more sprinkles on top, and serve with animal cookies, graham crackers, or pretzels.
