So I’m at work today. In real clothes. It’s a sad state of affairs when that is a newsworthy item… Counting down the hours until I can return home to comfy clothes + effective drugs.
Yesterday went better than I’d hoped. It was a rough flare day, but Geoff managed preschool drop-off so I could have a slower start to my morning. Geoff was working last night, so my mom came to play with a VERY EXCITED Briony in the afternoon while I went to a doctor’s appointment. Then bedtime went super smoothly (YAY!). And my evening meeting was cut short – something that would ordinarily be bad, but was actually kind of awesome yesterday with the way I was feeling. So I did some freelance work and then crawled into bed with some shows to catch up on and a giant bowl of popcorn.
I wish that taking it easy last night would equal a better day today. And maybe it’s marginally better? But I can’t wait to start feeling like myself again. I HAVE A WORLD TO CONQUER. Fortunately, I can do that from in front of my laptop. Even on flare days. And even in yoga pants.
YOU’RE ON NOTICE, WORLD.
